Considering hosting people from Ukraine?
It may be possible within the terms of your tenancy agreement, but please speak with us first- before applying for the Homes for Ukraine scheme.
The first phase of the government scheme has opened and starts by helping Ukrainian nationals or residents with a personal connection to here, through named people who want to host them.
If you want to support but don’t know anyone leaving Ukraine, you can record your interest in becoming a sponsor as the scheme rolls-out to help more people escaping danger.
As a sponsor under this scheme, you would:
-need to be able to provide a home for at least six months;
-receive a monthly payment from the government of £350, tax free and with no benefit or tax implications.
And some checks would be carried out to satisfy all involved.
