Over the last couple of weeks, our Neighbourhood Services Team has arranged community litter picks in three areas around Farnworth (as part of our 'Farnworth Focus' work**).
A total of 48 bags of rubbish were collected, with further litter picks planned soon.
A huge thank you goes to all the residents and volunteers who got involved, Cllr Paula Connor-Bennett, Cllr Paul Sanders, Karen and Paul from Bolton Borough Litter Pickers, and Gareth from BMBC Love Bolton Hate Litter.
A special mention to residents Colum and Lisa, whose continuous efforts have made a massive difference in their area. Colum continues to monitor the community litter bin stands, emptying them when full and replacing with new bags. These community litter bins stands are well used.
Our Neighbourhood Services Team leaflets areas before any planned litter picks. For more information, or if you want to get involved, call Jane, our Neighbourhood Project Officer, on 07789031818.
