Film fans: we've sponsored the Bolton Film Festival this year. Will you be there?

The in-venue event dates from Wednesday 5 October to Sunday 9 October, while the online programme runs from Wednesday 12 October to Sunday 23 October. It’ll feature over 200 short films, talks by industry experts, and masterclasses.

Different passes are available. You can attend some events in person, enjoy videos online, or both, and full details are available at www.boltonfilmfestival.com.

The choice of passes gives you access to a wide selection of films and those behind them, along with the option to hear comedian Joe Lycett and DJ Sean Keaveny chat about filmmaking, music, classic adverts, and comedy during their two-hour "Multifarious Mixtape" session on Thursday 6 October.

You can watch animations, comedies, documentaries and more, by independent filmmakers from this country and abroad. And many of the films on show will cover important social issues- with some that'll make you smile, and others that're crafted to move you.

**We support the festival- which started in 2017- it as it promotes our town and helps local people to gain new skills, experiences and opportunities within the film industry.

The festival helps independent filmmakers by promoting their talents. It also recognises the creativity of some local students, which can inspire others.

If you or someone you know is interested in script writing, camerawork, producing, directing, editing, set design, animation, special effects, etc., then taking in this year’s Bolton Film Festival isn’t to be missed.

Even if you just like watching films from the comfort of your own home, why not give it a try? You can also click here to visit Bolton Film Festival on Facebook for film clips and trailers:
