Bolton at Home is now responsible for the removal of fly tipping on our estates and any land we own. We believe that our customers deserve estates and green spaces free from fly tipping and large deposits of rubbish.
What is fly tipping?
Fly tipping is the illegal disposal of waste on land that does not have a waste management licence in force. Remember it is unlawful to dispose of your waste anywhere but your own bin or at an authorised site.
In residential areas this refers to waste placed anywhere other than in a bin. This includes waste left at the side of bins and anything left in bin stores outside of the bins provided.
Examples of fly tipping include:
As well as a criminal offence (maximum fine £50,000) it is a serious breach of the Bolton at Home tenancy agreement and for owner occupiers a breach of the covenant.
