Heard about the great work colleagues in our Farnworth Focus Team are doing?
We launched our Farnworth Focus project during Summer 2024. Based at 2 Hesketh House (where we deliver a 'one stop shop' Community Hub/Pop-Up UCAN Centre), it brings together targeted support from various Bolton at Home and partner services - a bit like our previous project on the Great Holme estate in Great Lever (you can tap here to watch a video about our previous pilot in Great Lever).
Our Farnworth Focus Team completed 'baseline surveys' with hundreds of residents when the project started. These surveys helped us to understand which issues were most important to local people - like the environment, crime, cost of living issues, and repairs.
Now, our Farnworth Focus colleagues are hard at work responding to the important issues raised by residents by hosting various events, initiatives, and community activities. They're designed to bring individuals and families together to have fun, make new connections, bring about positive change, and offer additional support should residents need it. They also help to bolster our colleagues' understanding of residents' needs and any other issues affecting them.
