Our first ever Community Drop-In event in Farnworth was a success

Our first ever Community Drop-In event in Farnworth was a success

Were you able to make it to our Farnworth Focus Team’s* first ever Community Drop-In event, kindly facilitated by our friends at Farnworth Leisure Centre last Thursday, 13 March?

Thanks to our amazing colleagues, partners, and everyone who stopped by – you all made this event a huge success.

The idea behind the Drop-In was to connect local people with some of Bolton’s fantastic support services – covering health and wellbeing, financial guidance, neighbourhood safety, the environment, volunteering, and more.

Paula Rowson, our Community Engagement Team Manager said:

“The Drop-In event at Farnworth Leisure Centre was a great success, showcasing the extensive community support offered by Bolton at Home and our partners.

“Farnworth residents discovered valuable resources and services available to them right on their doorstep.

“Thanks to the venue’s generous provision of free space, we were able to connect meaningfully with residents and provide information about housing support, wellbeing services, and local initiatives.”

And Councillor Paul Sanders said:

"Well done to all involved in organising this successful event.

"It was great to see so many local people in attendance and highlighted the huge amount of support and cross-agency work that goes on locally to help and engage our residents.

"This event also provided a brilliant opportunity to showcase the excellent facilities at Farnworth Leisure Centre following the recent £multi-million renovation and expansion."
