Recall notice for up to 500,000 Whirlpool tumble dryers over a fire risk concern
This relates to Hotpoint, Indesit, Swan, Proline and Creda tumble dryers manufactured between April 2004 and September 2015.
If you believe you may have an affected model:
- Unplug the machine and do not use it until it has been
modified. - Check the machine’s model and serial number and also your postcode at the time of purchase.
- Visit the manufacturer’s website below and follow the
instructions, or call them immediately on 0800 151 0905
(freephone helpline).

A green dot sticker on the machine indicates they have already been appropriately modified and you will not need to take any action.
