Tenant of ours and live in a building with communal areas?

If you’re a tenant of ours and live in a building with communal areas, you’ll soon receive a letter that looks just like the one in the image below (the header of the letter says ‘Items left in communal areas: our policy’).

It’s only short, but it’ll talk you through:

  • why it’s important that items (like prams, bikes, mobility scooters, furniture, plants, shoes, and others) are never left in communal areas,
  • why we all need to have a zero-tolerance approach to items left in these communal areas (which can include stairways, lifts, landings, hallways, and any other spaces that you share with other residents),
  • and what we’ll do with any items left in communal areas.

Our Building safety hub (www.boltonathome.org.uk/communal-areas) already includes a web version of this information if you’d like to read it now, as well as two short animations if you’d prefer this information in a more visual format.

You can also use that link to download a PDF version of the letter if you’d like a digital copy.
