Working Wardobe launch
Thanks to everyone who came to the opening of our Working Wardrobe initiative today and for your continued support.
We have set-up Working Wardrobe to help interviewees make an effective impression in job interviews, as part of our commitment to help customers find employment.
Working Wardrobe is available to men and women of working age who have secured an interview. We will provide them with quality smart clothing, accessories and mentoring to help them look professional and feel great for their interview. It is a referral based service and the clothes have been donated.
Noel Sharpe, our Director of Customer and Place, said: “We’re proud of the fact that we’re opening-up the doors to all Bolton residents. There is a referral mechanism and we think that’s really important. It enables us to make sure that when people come here they get the right support, whether that’s help picking an outfit or gaining additional skills to help them perform at interviews.”
The Mayor of Bolton, Councillor Elaine Sherrington, cut a ribbon to open the premises at 56 Bradshawgate, Bolton. She added: “I feel Working Wardrobe will be a confidence booster for a lot of people going into interviews, where they might have otherwise had doubts about how they would be perceived rather than in their abilities. It is a great idea and much needed.”
